Nanotechnology in Biomedical Engineering
In recent decades, significant advancements
have been made in the application of nanotechnology within
the field of biomedical engineering. Today, nanotechnology
enables a wide range of applications, including the
development of advanced diagnostic tools, enhanced drug
therapies, and novel imaging techniques.
The adoption of nanotechnology-based approaches can
significantly improve diagnostic sensitivity, allowing for
the detection of anomalies even at the molecular level,
potentially aiding in the early identification of diseases.
In drug delivery, nanotechnology enhances efficiency and
stability by overcoming solubility and bioavailability
challenges within biological environments. Additionally, the
use of magnetic nanoparticles can improve sensitivity in
magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), leading to more accurate
diagnostics.
This track aims to bring together research focused on the
latest advancements in nanotechnology for biomedical
engineering. Topics of interest include the development of
innovative nanomaterials, novel manufacturing processes,
emerging applications, nanotoxicity assessment, and more.
